ADVERSE WEATHER POLICY & PROCEDURE

During our winter / spring camps & sessions, we recognise that weather conditions may be a factor. We have therefore put in place a process to ensure all parents / caregivers know the channels of communication and when weather decisions will be made.

We will always aim to take clear and timely decisions regarding adverse weather. At this time of year, the situation may be fluid on the day, so we ask for your understanding. We will make every effort to enable events and sessions to go ahead, while of course having ultimate regard for the safety and well-being of the young players in our care.

See below our Adverse Weather Policies for (1) Hockey Camps & (2) 1-1 & Small Group Sessions

Adverse weather policy - hockey camps

PRE-EVENT

  1. Please ensure you enter your email address correctly on the registration form. Email will be our primary method of communication in the event of adverse weather conditions. If you entered your email address incorrectly, please contact us (info@evo-hockey.com) to inform, so we can update our system.

  2. Add info@evo-hockey.com to your email safe list, so our communications do not go to your spam mail folder.

  3. We will be monitoring the weather in the week before the event and will send out a camp briefing email to all bookers shortly before the event date. If you have not received this email the day before this event is due to begin, please email us.

On the day

  1. We have scheduled our camps to begin at 10am each day (registration from 9.50am), in order to allow maximum time for the astroturf pitches to become usable, should there be any morning ground frost.

  2. We will attend the pitches to examine them each morning. Should there be any issue, we will send an email to all parents by 9am, to advise of the situation. If you do not receive an email, please assume the event will be going ahead.

  3. If you are unsure on the day and have queries about the weather condition, please contact us by by email.

In the event of cancellation

  1. Should weather conditions prevent the running of the event, we will automatically defer all places on this camp to a future event. In this scenario, all bookers will receive an email confirming the deferral plan within 14 days of the postponed event. If you have not received a communication by that date, please email us.
