Chris Bowen

EVO Hockey is the brainchild of Chris Bowen, a recently retired Welsh international. He was born in South Africa and represented South Africa at U18 and U21 level before coming to the UK. In the UK he captained Holcombe and has been voted Player of the Season at both Holcombe and Hampstead & Westminster. Chris currently plays for Surbiton 1st XI in the National League Premier Division and has played for them in the European Hockey League (EHL).

Chris is a professional hockey coach and has coached numerous junior championship winning teams as Head of Hockey Development at Whitgift School. Prior to that he was Head of Hockey at Epsom College, and he has recently been appointed Performance Director of Hockey at Reigate Grammar School. 

Chris holds an MSc in Sports Psychology and is a member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Science and the British Psychological Society.
