Johannes Mooij

Johannes is one of the top developing talents in world hockey. He is a Netherlands senior international, having previously been capped at U21 level. In 2014, he captained his country as the Netherlands U21s won gold at the European Championships. 

Johannes plays his club hockey for AH&BC Amsterdam, one of the world's top hockey clubs. He has played there for 5 years and was made captain this season. In 2013-14 he was awarded Young Player of the Year in the Dutch Hoofdklasse (Dutch top division) and in 2015-16 he was voted Most Talented Player in the EHL (Euro Hockey League). 

Johannes is one of the most technically gifted players in the world. He started his hockey career as a midfielder and has played in defence at Amsterdam. He is passionate about coaching youth talent and broadening his hockey horizons. To that end he will be playing next season for Atletic Terrassa in the Spanish top division.
