EVO would like to extend huge congratulations to two of our Sponsored players, Dave Goodfield and Jonty Griffiths. Following a lengthy trials and assessment process, both have been awarded contracts as professional athletes with Great Britain Hockey programme, announced today.

Dave Goodfield has been awarded a full-time contract with Great Britain Hockey and Jonty Griffiths a part-time contract, while he completes his University undergraduate studies at Loughborough University. Both players have coached numerous young players at EVO camps and events and are a fantastic part of the EVO family.

Great Britain Hockey has a full-time men's hockey programme with a squad of just 27 elite athletes. Contracts are renewed in 4 year hockey cycles, to coincide with the Olympic Games. Dave and Jonty's selection means that they have made their first steps on (hopefully!) a journey to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. There will be a long road ahead and doubtless ups and downs along the way, but we wish them well and will continue to support them on their hockey journeys.
