Omar Shibli
Omar is one of the co-founders of EVO Hockey. He has over 20 years of playing experience and 10 years of coaching experience. Omar played hockey for one club- Cheam HC - for the majority of his playing career, captaining and leading their 1st XI, for 12 seasons.
Omar has worked with many of the world's top players, developing knowledge and insight into a multitude of different hockey playing styles and coaching techniques from across the globe.
Through EVO, he leads a team of approximately 95 coaches, including international players from over 20 different countries. He has co-designed and led EVO's high-performance junior programmes, working with junior players up to and including NAGS level. He has experience in developing, leading and co-ordinating exceptional coaching teams to deliver world-class training programmes in a high performance setting for junior players. Omar also leads the EVO Hockey South Africa programme, which launched in January 2018, training players there up to SA U21 level.
Omar studied Law at Cambridge University and is a fully qualified barrister. In addition to coaching, he deals with the business and commercial aspects of EVO Hockey.
