Step (1) DEMONSTRATION
Explain the skills & basic biomechanic movements / principles.
Step (2) DEVELOPMENT
Let players try it themselves to develop the movements, building their foundations.
Step (3) EXPLORATION
The most important part! Give players the ENCOURAGEMENT to use the skills in small game situations ("Take someone on man!"), the FREEDOM to explore what works and what doesn't, and the SECURITY to know it is ok to make mistakes and lose the ball in the development process.
Oh, and a bonus extra step (4) Music booming - keep it fun!
