Jamie Cachia appointed EVO Head of Goalkeeping and Residential Camps Director

EVO Hockey is delighted to announce the appointment of Jamie Cachia as Head of Goalkeeping and Residential Camps Director.

Jamie is an ex-Scotland international goalkeeper who has represented his country 50 times, including at 2 x Commonwealth Games (Delhi 2010 & Glasgow 2014). He is an accomplished coach for both goalkeepers and outfield players.

Jamie is currently a full time Performance Hockey coach working with University of Durham. His previous coaching honours include:

  • University of Nottingham HC -2 x BUCS Premier League Championship titles, Midlands Premier Division winners, National League North Conference Champions

  • Sheffield Hallam University HC - BUCS Championship

Jamie leads the goalkeeping group JDC Coaching. His breadth of knowledge in this area is exceptional and EVO look forward to further developing the EVO goalkeeper programs through his expertise.

In terms of residential camps, Jamie has strong experience in this area and we are excited to imminently launch EVO Hockey’s first residential camp in summer 2020 - details coming soon.

I am really excited to be a part of the EVO Hockey family. We share the principles of developing youth and putting back into the sport that has given us so much. The vision of bringing together coaches and ideas from all over the world to help that development is unique.

Our aim is to create a goalkeeping community where we share the best practice and different technical and tactical considerations for goalkeepers - something that I and everyone involved with JDC Coaching is passionate about.

Adding residential camps to EVO’s existing model is a huge development and will add an extra dimension to what we provide. I and the team at EVO and JDC Coaching cannot wait to get started!
